The corolla, up to 35 mm across, has five yellow lobes and is centred on five stamens and a greenish pistil, topped by a club-shaped stigma. Three of the stamens have yellow hairs along their filaments, and an (orange) anther held horizontal, attached in the middle, while the other two anthers have hairless filaments, and angled anthers. The inflorescence is a dense, elongated cluster, usually unbranched
