Flowers:
Five round white, spreading, non-overlapping petals, slightly irregular along the edge, a ring of 15 to 20 stamens with white filaments and brown anthers, and two styles at the centre. The calyx is cup shaped, covered with short hairs, and partly divided into five shallow lobes
Fruit:
Globular or egg-shaped red berries, around 7 mm in diameter
Leaves:
Ovate, shiny, up to 10 mm long, slightly folded up along the midvein, and with a few stiff hairs along the margins
