Small, yellowish-green, with four sepals and four petals, divided into two or three narrow lobes. At the centre is a group of around a dozen stamens, hanging downwards. Flowers are produced in large numbers in an elongated, unbranched cluster along the upper part of the stout, ridged, hairless stem, and are attached by short stalks

Hairless, alternate, lanceolate, with wavy margins and a pale-coloured midvein
