Deep pink in colour, with three spreading sepals - a lateral pair, somewhat angular at the tips rather than rounded, and a shorter one in the middle - and three petals, the upper two positioned below the middle sepal. The lower petal is wider than it is long, and divided into three lobes. The back of the petal forms a long spur. The lateral sepals are spreading, held at 90 degrees to the centreline

Alternate, narrowly lanceolate, unspotted, up to 30 cm long and 3 cm wide, slightly folded up along the midvein
