Flowers:
The three sepals and two upper sepals are all similar in shape and appearance, coloured dark reddish-pink. The lower petal, greenish-red, is cupped at the base, constricted in the middle, widening abruptly just above, and blunt-pointed at the tip, just below which the surface is raised, and wrinkled. The ovary, below the sepals, is lined with short, curved, white hairs. The inflorescence contains from 8 to 20 flowers
