Flowers:
Produced in pairs from the leaf nodes. Flowers are about 10 mm long; a pale pink, two-lipped corolla with darker pink spots on the lower lip, and a two-lipped calyx which has a scale on the upper lip. The corolla is up to four times as long as the calyx
Leaves:
Opposite, lanceolate, hairless, untoothed, stalked, up to 3 cm long, rounded at the base
