Flowers:
The corolla is pale pink, tubular; narrow at the base, widening gradually towards the top, which opens to a pouched upper lip and pinched, divided lower lip. The hairy calyx is divided about half its length into narrow teeth, spreading at the fruiting stage. Flowers form in whorls, and are subtended by leaf-like bracts

Hairy, opposite, broadly ovate to heart-shaped, stalked, up to 5 cm long, lined by rounded teeth; often purplish along the margins
