Flowers:
Five small pink, unnotched petals, ten stamens with white filaments and yellow anthers, and a hairless, light green calyx, ribbed and inflated towards the base, divided into pointed lobes towards the tip
Leaves:
Shiny, bright green, often reddish along the margins; hairless or nearly so. Partially divided (to less than half the way to the base) into five or seven lobes, which are very shallowly divided. Attached by long, reddish stalks
