In clusters of up to 15 heads, at the tip of a hairy stalk up to 15 cm long. Flowers are yellow, not normally tinged orange-red, apart from the red veins of the banner petal. Calyxes are hairy, and the lobes are shorter than the tube. The angle between the uppermost pair of lobes is less than 90 degrees
