In spherical, terminal clusters, up to 6 cm in diameter. Flowers have a narrow, tubular corolla, up to 5 cm in length, opening to a broad, four-toothed upper lobe and a narrower, two-lipped lower lobe, and subtended by small green bracts. Flowers are creamy-yellow, white or pinkish. Five stamens and one pistil project well beyond the corolla

Opposite, greyish-green, ovate, up to 7 cm long, usually with a fine hair covering
