Pink in bud, white when mature; four rounded, unnotched, non-overlapping petals, and six stamens, which have white filaments and prominent red-purple anthers (becoming yellowish). In clusters at the top of the stem; initially compact, then elongating at the fruiting stage
Fruit:
Short, winged, obovate capsules, with residual style at the tip
Leaves:
Broad, ovate, dull-green, unlobed and untoothed, tapering at the base
