Flowers:
Flowerheads, 2 or 3 mm in diameter, are whitish-green in bud, opening to reveal a small number of reddish disc florets, and each is subtended by a thin green bract, with lighter-coloured margins. Flowerheads are arranged in short, vertical clusters, from the upper leaf nodes
Leaves:
Up to 8 cm long; twice pinnately divided into narrow, pointed segments, around 5 mm across. Hairless above, cottony-hairy below, with lighter-coloured midveins. At closely-spaced intervals along downy stems, which are angled, and reddish along the edges
